  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
If Golden State is really desperate to trade salary away and if Monta Ellis really starts to complain he could be had for the cheap. He is a byc player and according to espn.com we can trade him for only 5.5 million in contracts. Here's the blurb about him wanting to be traded.

We could pick him up if we wanted to trade Rondo for Amare or just pick him up to be the best 6th man in the league.

"Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News and Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com filed separate reports that suggest there are yet again growing problems in Golden State.

Sources indicate that Monta Ellis is unhappy with the direction of the franchise and is considering 'popping off' in order to force his way off the Warriors.

Ellis has met with Don Nelson and Larry Riley and expressed that he doesn't want the Warriors to draft a playmaking point guard.

One NBA executive tells Givony that the Warriors have made a promise not to select such a guard.

This will leave Golden State to likely select Jordan Hill or James Johnson."

Can't comment on the BYC issues but Golden State would demand Rondo.  We need Rondo a heck of a lot more than we need a turnover prone gunslinger who shoots poorly from deep

Would be fun to watch Rondo in Golden St., though.  Nelson would probably value his up-tempo skills and vital small-ball production (rebounds and steals) enough to let him run the show even without the jumpshot.

Honestly, I want not part of Monta Ellis.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.
