Boston gets a young SG who is a good defender and 3point shooter and get into the late lottery

Well, a sign-and-trade involving BBD has to happen well after the draft.

I like Afflalo, but I doubt Dumars would be willing to give him up.

I might be willing to try Amir Johnson and the #15 for BBD and filler, although I think we could probably simply buy the #15 from Detroit.

Why would Detroit do a sign and trade?  They are under the cap, and have the MLE.  They could just sign him and keep their pick and players...

After certain amount under the cap (more than the MLE) teams don't have the MLE. You can't have one AND the other.

The MLE is an exception to help teams above the cap.

Depending on the context, you could say Maxiell is better than BBD.

I'd say they have completely different, if not complementary, skill sets. Maxiell is a terrific undersized rebounder and inside player, while BBD's game is more face-the-basket.
