BOS/PHI with SAC

I believe this would have to be 2 trades due to salary but I'm not sure.

Boston sends: Brian Scalabrine, Tony Allen, JR Giddens
Sacramento sends: Kenny Thomas


Boston then sends: Kenny Thomas and Gabe Pruitt
Philadelphia sends: Samuel Dalembert

Why for Boston?
Trade a bunch of useless players for a big man with a bad contract but it is only 2 years.

Why for Sacramento? They save cash and get rid of a useless player. They could also probably buy out Scal and Tony if they want to.

Why for Philadelphia? They save cap space for 2010 and get rid of Dalembert which they have been wanting to do.

I think this has to happen when the new contract year starts, after June 30, since the current numbers don't work, and even then I'm not sure about it.

Here's a spin on things though. I doubt Sacto would go for taking on Dalembert, even if it rids them of Udrih's contract, but pairing Dallie with Thompson and Hawes would make for a good young frontcourt rotation for the Kings for the future.

Philly would do it to get rid of Dalembert, and as insurance in case Andre Miller asks for too much as a free agent. From the thread on the trade rumor involving Wilie Green, that definitely seems to be the case.

I agree, though, Sacto probably doesn't want Dalembert. Too much money.

I can't stand Dalembert...probably to an unfair degree.  IMO, he represents "stat defenders" who look good on paper, because they block a ton of shots, or get a lot of steals, but they really end up hurting their team by always being out of position looking for the flashy play.
