i'm taking solace in believing that last years celtics team would beat this laker team even more easily. mark jackson is in lust with kobe. good god. oh how i would love us to come back healthy next year and tool on the lakers in the finals again. i'd love to hear all about  "THE LOOK",at that point.

SVG rode Jameer too hard in this game. He just got back from being injured for 4 months. Game 1 of the NBA Finals isn't such a good idea to get him 19 minutes.  Maybe 8 or 10, but not 19.  He is -22 in 19 minutes so far, with Alston at -4 in 19 minutes.

Lakers are lucky we're not playing them!  ;D
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

i couldn't watch this game tonite, just too painful.

however, the way these playoffs have turned out just makes it all the more apparent to me, that a healthy Celtics team would have had a golden opportunity to repeat (especially if danny hadn't made the obvious-to-me mistake of letting james posey get away).

cleveland turned out to be a paper tiger, orlando would have been eliminated in 5 - 6 games and the lakers would have lost, yet again, to a mentally tougher Celtics team.

danny ainge needs to get to work and give the Celtics best-starting-five in basketball the help they need off the bench. i want to see a bench next season that provides a spark, makes runs and increases leads and turns some games around - not the don't-lose-too-much-of-the-lead outfit that struggled through this season.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Utterly sickening.  Why couldn't Turkoglu, Pietrus and Lewis shoot like that in Game 7 vs the C's??

"we really had to overcome a lot of adversity in the Houston and denver series"

in Houston? Like what? almost chocking against a team a team with key injuries who's post presence was a 6'6 tweener for 3 games?

I'll give him denver, but houston should have been a cake walk with the front court edge they had after yao went down.

Small Houston isn't easy to beat, don't misunderstand the challenge there.  Plus they were hitting every shot they took.

Lakers... 25 point win CRUSHING of the Orlando team that beat Boston...priceless.

Just kidding, beating Boston without KG isn't really beating Boston.  I wish you guys were here so we could have the honor of some payback!!!!

I hate the Lakers.

They are looking good though and are the better team I think.

Wow, I guess SOME Boston fans have some brains.

I kid, i kid.

The Lakers  will sweep this little mini-tourney.  It's too bad KG just vacated his title until next year.  I'm sure Laker fans will enjoy their asterisked pretend championship, but until they beat KG it's like being the champ while Ali is inactive.
