But they still have a shot.  The feeling I have today is nothing -- repeat: nothing -- compared to how I felt after the Pats lost to the Giants in the superbowl.
Celtics fan for life.

  • Let's Go Celtics
The part that's bothering me is that they absolutely had the series won in regulation and gave it away.

I feel drained, and my finger is swollen and bruised from punching my dresser.  Other than that, bring on Game 7!!
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Not hungover- just angry. To come from that far back late in the game, take a seemingly safe lead, and then blow it- very frustrating.
Oh well, why on earth should I care anyway, just a bunch of overgrown millionares playing a game, right? ???

Yes and it's one of the few times all year that after a loss I've just simply turned the TV off and gone right to bed (not even any CB ranting before hand).

Yeah, possibly because I was drinking heavily  :P

All I can think today is "Great, now I get to watch the C's lose a heartbreaker on ESPN Classic for the next 10 years!"

Sigh, let's go burry these fools in 7...

Really? You guys felt worse about losing ONE game where historically the best team doesn't always win? You've put more time into THIS SERIES than you have that entire football season and yet the feeling hurt more when the Pats lost? Come on meow.

Sorry to go off on a football aside, but...

The difference with the Super Bowl was that it wasn't just "one game."  The ramifications went far deeper than that.  If the Pats win that game, they win their 4th title in seven years. They easily go down as the greatest single season NFL team ever, and possibly the greatest in the history of team sports.  Further, they also challenge the Steelers for greatest NFL dynasty.  Brady gets his fourth ring, giving him a good chance to eventually pass Bradshaw and Montana and become possibly the greatest QB of all time.  Etc, etc.  There were a lot more letdowns there than just the loss of one game.
