That may very well be.

But Mikki would foul out
in about 25 minutes...

This is what I got from the game.  Doc doesn't know what he is doing, and KG is not helping at all. Why couldn't KG sit on the bench for the 2nd half? How is him sitting out there a distraction and not a help for the team.

The Bulls were up 9 in the first half. They won by 2.

don't overreact BUT they have been playing this way for some time now...and according to PERK:

Following this afternoon's loss to the Chicago Bulls in Game 1 of a first-round playoff series, Celtics center Kendrick Perkins said his team did not bring the intensity necessary for a playoff game.

"Playing against a young team, the most important thing is that you've got to bring a lot of energy," said Perkins. "We're not just going to show up and beat teams."

pretty sad you cant bring it on day one of the playoffs at home

  • Basketball is like chess, only without the dice
does boston really have a better team than the bulls on paper without KG?

Yeah, especially considering Deng is also out for the Bulls. Boston is good enough to win it even after this loss, I still have the Bulls as the underdogs.

The media are all reporting how Rose has tied Kareem's first playoff game scoring record with 36 points...however, I could have sworn that when they showed the numbers of scoring records there was someone who played for the New Jersey Nets in 1970's who scored 39 in his first playoff appearance. Can someone back me up on this?

Kareem's is the rookie record. The 39 points must be from someone whose first playoffs weren't in his first year.
