Refs for today's game:  Bennett Salvatore, Eddie F. Rush, Mike Smith

I am sure we cringe at the thought of that horrible foul that Bennett Salvatore called on Pierce last season.  Pierce was shooting a 3 and was fouled in the act and Salvatore called the offensive foul on Pierce.  Let's hope he got his vision checked since that call.

With David Stern set on a Kobe LeBron finals this season, I expect his minions to call game pretty one sided for the Bulls.  Celtics will have to keep their cools and just play though the bad calls (and non calls) that are certain to come.

Ahhhh, that's just terrific.

Why stop there, Stern?

Why not? James and Bryant officiate every game in which they play anyway.

Celtics win. I think this postseason will bring back memories of that 2002 Celtics team. Nobody expected us to make it that far but we did. I think the same will happen this postseason. Let's Go C's!
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Poor Al Jefferson is dealing with his own injuries now but i wouldn't mind having him abroad in the future. I love his game!. Anyway today we will start proving the world that we can do it again. I believe in this team and i am proud no matter what!!

:) The eyes of quiniela are upon the Celtics playoffs once again. Seems like this is a time honored tradition. Just two years ago we were pleading for Doc Rivers to be gone. Now we know that he is one of the best coaches out there (some debate that Tom Thibadeau might have had something to do with it.

A big key here is going to be the Ticket Stub, formally known as BBD. He will have to provide scoring, rebounding and defense. Also we need muscle and hustle from Kendrick Perkins and Leon Powe. Chicago has Joakim Noah and the Tyrus Virus along with Brad Miller. We need to win this matchup down low to win the series.

The Salmon-Pierce and the Uconn matchup (Ray vs Ben), plus the bright young PGs are the most visible matchups. Chicago is capable of matching our outside firepower.

Boston wants this game in the nineties and Chicago wants to light it up Phoenix like 115 or more.

The bench is decent for Chicago - Kirk Hinrich comes to mind here - got to guard him and chase him off the 3 point line. Boston will counter with Stephon, Mikki, Powe, Tony Allen, Eddie House. I doubt Walker or Pruitt see much action here this post season.

The Celtics need to close this out in Five Games and conserve energy. They cannot afford a pair of sevens and then face that Monster in Cleveland.
Wins are few, times are hard. Here is your bleeping St Patricks Day Card.

3 keys today:

1. rebounding. powe and baby have to get dirty and be physical
2. stop ben gordon...he is streaky and taking him out would be big
3. controlling rose...keep him out of the lane

You are gonna send out the Boomer Sooner wagon to poop on Bennett's sneakers aren't you, Bo? I was hoping for Mark Wonderlich, that kid who tossed out Doc in Chicago last month, and Violet Palmer to call todays game. I agree that Lebron has practically legalized traveling. And Kobe is the de facto Basketball commisioner west of the Mississippi Rivah.

Poop? Nah.

I was thinking of something a little more Draconian.

That call on Pierce in Game 6 remains the single worst call I've ever seen.

You roll out Violet and Wunderlich with Bennett and I'll just go outside and mow. I've had enough stress.

So true.

That said, I am pledging that I will not blame the refs today.  If the Cs show up and are prepared to play, they should win even if it is 5 on 8.
Celtics fan for life.

Both Pierce and Tony Allen have Salmon and potatoes for their pregame meal.... Let's hope they feast on a little Salmon in the game as well.
