Los Angeles-bred “Superbad” geek Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who you’d think would be a Lakers fan, has been McLovin’ the Boston Celtics [team stats] since he was Super small.“He was raised a Celtics fan because his father’s from Worcester,” said club guru Michael Winter, who squired McLovin’ around the North End after the Celtics’ gut-wrenching 106-104 win over the Chicago Bulls the other night. The Tinseltown nerd is such a fan, he paid $3,000 for a pair of tickets behind the Celtics bench for himself and his pop. He got his face up on the JumboTron a few times and after the game, Winter introduced him to Stephon Marbury and Gabe Pruitt. But McLovin’ really, really had his heart set on meeting Mr. Triple Double Rajon Rondo [stats]. And why wouldn’t he?As luck would have it, the gangly guard and his fam were celebrating the Game 5 win with dinner at Nick Varano’s Strega - one of Winter and McL’s stops on Hanover Street (Tresca was another one).“Chris was so nervous to ask Rondo to take a picture with him, but before he could ask, Rondo asked if he could take a picture with him,” laughed Winter. “The kid still doesn’t get it.”
