Is Slumdog Millionaire a chick flick?  If so, that's the best chick flick I've ever seen.

Garden State is a chick flick?

I'd say The Notebook, You've Got Mail or Serendipity.

Hannibal.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

A Chic Flick is one that holds your interest throughout, is different, and is well acted, directed and written.   That about coveres it.  Oxymoron Dark Lord?  I know an oxymoron when I see it   ;D  And yes, I loved Enemy Mine!

Does There's Something About Mary qualify? How about The 40-Year-old Virgin or Knocked Up?
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

Absolutely agreed.  This isn't a "chick flick" at all, but it was marketed as one.  I mean, it's about brothers, fathers and sons, war, death, Prohibition, and Brad Pitt going crazy and scalping people.

Cold Mountain and The Notebook always bring tears to my eyes. I mean my wife's eyes. ;)

we definitely have a different definition of chick flick.....because under your definition, i would consider good will hunting, the departed, gangs of new york, braveheart, forrest gump, and lord of the rings chick flicks,,,because they are all different, held my interest, were well acted, directed and written.......

and Enemy Mine? I am at a loss for words...but i refuse to hate on any CB members fave movies,,,so all i will say is that i respectively disagree about Enemy Mine

I refuse to say that I am an ex-chic....old chick maybe  ;D and that is MY partial list of favorite movies.  If you want to start a list of least favorite, I have those, too.  Add to the like list...Phenomenon, and almost anything with Travolta.
