On the way home today, Glen Ordway and Cedric Maxwell were talking about the extent of KG's injury and Ordway literally talked about the Celtics and Maxwell both having to deal with the reality that Garnett will be out through the playoffs.

Am I missing something?  Is the injury that serious?
Call me a sap, but I love my kids more than anything!

hmmm...speculating on what they might be like w/o KG maybe?

BTW, WEEI in stereo on the Cape now....The commercials are very cheesy, but it's nice to get to a decent reception here finally.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I'm going assume they were speculating, because I don't like the alternative.

Yeah, I hope this is just speculation from Maxwell and Ordway because it would be catastrophic if it was true... and since Garnett is just taking extra rest I think (and hope) it's just speculation.

Doc has been pretty honest about this whole thing...stuck to what he has said with his minutes and all...why would he say he is on track to play friday and then his season in jeopardy? doesnt make sense.....i think it is a slow monday on WEEI

i tend to take everything said by ordway as speculation.

I think it is just speculation.  There was an article in today's links that speculated that it is a torn ACL and that KG is trying to play with it.  Let's face it, until he is back on the court and playing regular minutes, speculation will abound from all corners.

Doc said that it was just sore after the games they played and they don't want to take any chances with him and that he may play Friday vs Atlanta.  I would take what Doc said over what Ordway says any day.  It is a miracle that Ordway was able to tear himself away from Red Sox talk to even speculate on the Celtics.

I refuse to think that KG will be out for the playoffs.  If it was something that serious, I think Doc would have told us.   KG will play in the playoffs and he will be 100% because they are taking their time bringing him back.
