They're not good enough shooters to shoot over a zone.

  • The good ole days.
If the Kings participated in March Madness they would roll to the title with an average margin of victory of about 30 points, if not more.

More. I'd put the over/under on 45 points.

ESPN was talking about how much better the Oklahoma, NC, Pitt, and UCONN are better than everyone else. so i was thinking about if the worst NBA team could beat the best NCAA team.

The Worldwide Leader might want to check with the Missouri Tigers first.   ;D

Probably right... their last starting lineup was:

Bobby Jackson - best player from the 1998 Golden Gopher (!!!) final four team (leave academics out of this)
Francisco Garcia - a standout at Louisville a short time ago
Kevin Martin - would be the best scorer in college ball right now
Jason Thompson - rookie from a small college that was good enough to go 12th overall
Spencer Hawes - would beast up college centers now

The two worst players in that starting 5 were both good recent college players that have probably improved drastically in their short NBA careers.

And on the bench...

Rashad McCants - one of the best scorers in recent UNC history
Nocioni - I would fear for a 19 year old college kid that had to go against Nocioni
Donte Greene - a rookie that was a beast at Syracuse and probably is much better now
Ike Diogu - lottery pick out of Arizona State

That team would absolutely destroy any college team in the country.  Absolutely no question.

What's this about the 'other' Tigers?

Sorry, thought you meant Memphis!  Forgot Missouri is also having a very good year and just beat OU.... heck, guess the Worldwide Leader should check with both Tigers!

This is vaguely related... once had a friend of mine here in Columbus tell me the OSU BCS Championship Buckeye's team could beat the Patriots.

I told him they would be lucky not to send 10+ players to the MORGUE.  And people say Celticsblog has homerism.

I agree with this answer.  People don't realize often how much bigger and faster the NBA players are.

i've been defending the nba vs college for awhile. you guys had it right. people don't realize  the speed, size and ofcourse a little thing called talent. the nba is the best of the best. how don't people realize this? there are so many misconceptions about the nba. #1 would probably be "nobody plays defense." it's a whole lot closer to "nobody does'nt play defense." the college game is a horror show nest to the nba. some of the shots put up in a college game .. a nba team would'nt dream of taking. the college game is also horribly sloppy next to the nba. the speed WITH precision in the nba is absolutely freakish.
