Ugly track meet of a game. The C's didn't play much defense because they were scoring so easy and had a 9 point lead most of the game. It even looked like they would pull away after Rondo took the game over for a stretch in the third quarter.

Well the Nets got hot from 3 late in the fourth and burned the C's bad. Even taking a brief 3 point lead on a Vince Carter step back three.

Luckily Pierce was well rested after some blow from Bill Walker and Ray Allen and took us home. Ray also hit a clutch three before to tie it before Pierce hit the jumper to put the C's in front for good. An amazing 31 points on 14 shots for Pierce tonight. I also have to give Perk some love for being the only C to hit the boards with authority tonight.

I'm sick. So I was wrong I looked at the vote totals and thought that at a point with 18 votes someone definitely didn't give him a single one. That isn't true though.  I hate being sick  :-\.

Thank goodness the C's won!

I know you corrected your post further down the thread but I still thought it was important to point out that for the majority of the night Pierce wasn't guarding Carter he was guarding Hassel and Hayes.  So Carter's point total shouldn't have any impact on votes for PP.
When he was on Carter he did a much better job than Ray or Marbury were able to do, including some great D on VC's last drive.

What I don't understand is how anyone can give Perk and Rondo the same number of points for that game as they gave Pierce?  I mean honestly? Rondo was the only starter with a negative +/-, let Harris loose down the stretch, and had only 5 assists even though the C's shot over 60%, & Perk had 5 turnovers.
