I don't get the sudden turn on Pruitt. A month ago everyone was desperate to see him get time. Then he got some and played well. Then he got arrested, and now everyone is calling him a bum. That's so stupid. So he made a bad decision. That doesn't suddenly make him a worse basketball player somehow. He's a good young player. There is no need to replace him. That's just so dumb.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

How is Head an upgrade over Pruitt? Head barely played for Houston this year and then got cut. Either Head or Pruitt are most likely going to be on the inactive list when the playoffs start so what's the point? And it's very dangerous adding too many new players this late into the season. Both for chemistry reasons and because you have to take precious time out of practice to teach new guys plays that the rest of the team already knows.

As for Bryon Russell, the last 3 seasons he played (not including the 1 game in 05-06 season) he averaged 4.5, 4, 4.4 points on 35, 40 and 38% shooting. And he hasn't played in 3.5 years. So he was a bum in the late part of his career, hasn't played for a few years and now he is going to be good? No thanks.

Why should scoring average be the sole criterium by which to measure a player?

We'd be getting Russell for his defensive abilities, not his scoring.

  • Basketball is like chess, only without the dice
I find the Russell hypothesis hilarious. The dude was washed up like ages ago.

Luther Head? Why not just sign Mike Gorman instead?

Luther Head is a good player and I'd love to see the Celtics get him.  He's a younger version of Eddie House, and a good defender too.  Marbury replacement.

He's 39 years old. I don't think his defensive ability is that good anymore. Name a wing that's 39+ in the league right now that can play good defense?
