He would be able to step in and play and be that SG defender till TA gets back.

But he might be to short for the Celtics needs now.

I would have loved him before they signed Marbury.  Now I think the C's need a bigger wing to replace Scal.  I would be looking close at Bryon Russell.

There has to be a better choice then that.

I was surprised to see him released.  He hasnt had a good year, but the guy can shoot...

He is a much better player then Pruitt, although I dont expect him to be here.

I think we need someone a little taller than Head to guard wing players. Bonzi Wells would be ideal, but I don't think that's going to happen if it hasn't already.

No. Why do we need to replace Pruitt? Especially with another PG, and a mediocre one on top of that. We already have Rondo, Marbury and House, when would Luther Head play?

If we really want to replace Pruitt with another PG, I'd go for DJ Strawberry, for example. More upside than a guy like Head.

Why would we want Luther Head? We are already loaded with undersized PG's trying to play the off guard. Bonzi Wells or Bryon Russell would fill a need much better.

That's because the coach has deemed him unplayable in meaningful minutes.

If he has enough left to give them 10 minutes per game, he would be perfect.  He was always a good defender and shooter.  Of course its a huge stretch to think he does have anything left...but it would be worth a look.  They wouldn't be asking too much from him.

We don't need him. He's garbage anyway. Rather have Pruitt.

To do what, wave towels? Pruitt sees time only if Rondo, Marbury, and Eddie are all unavailable.

With the injuries to our wings, Russell would actually fill a need, if he can still physically perform. I'm with Chris on this one.

Is it against league rules to hold a workout for a free agent if you don't have an open roster spot? I don't see Scals suiting up again this season.

Too small

If Bill Walker is not good enough I say bring up a local product like Demetris Nichols (Syracuse), Need more size Jawad Williams (NC) is averaging 25pts in D league. Ky product Joe Crawford, and perhaps James White from cinci (if the Rockets don't buy). Don't know what makes anyone think any of these guys would get anymore play than Walker; but I what the heck - am very frustrated with Docs no rookie policy and is only going to get worse with Moore and Marbury needing minutes.

Spurs beat the Celts with great energy from George Hill, Hairston and Mason.
