I would have my money on Sheed as well.
Hey BT,i had heard rumors about Sheed a few months ago going to the Cavs, maybe its true.

Although, despite how we feel on this blog, 'more high profile than Joe Smith' could describe a lot of people.

I laughed while reading that.  Thanks, illantari.

Either way he won't be there for long, once we knock them out of the playoffs.

Drew Gooden is the first name that comes to mind.

Chandler's a 5.
agree on Gooden

Regardless of whether Gooden is the better player, I'm not sure Gooden qualifies as "higher profile" than Joe Smith...

Joe Smith is pretty low profile.  Some of you seem to suggest he's pretty good.  I'll just take your word for it, I guess...

  • You know my methods, Watson.
scalabrine?  some here have him heading to the HOF, so you couldn't get much more high profile than that... :)

In reference to the original post.  It doesn't say there is anything definitive.  It just mentions that there has been chatter about the possibility of a higher profile forward getting bought out.

I'm pretty sure I read or heard a couple days ago that the Pistons situation has become so dreadful that they might even just let Rasheed go.  So I mean... this just could be a reference to that.   Who knows.  We'll see.

My vote's on a Raptor as little sense as that would make right now.

You're going with Marion?  Yeah that's a longshot, huh?  But it probably just as likely as Sheed.

It actually might make a tiny bit of sense from Toronto's perspective.  Is Marion likely at all to resign with Toronto after this season?  Their team is headed to lotto land and they probably wouldn't mind saving some money on their way.   But from Marion's perspective... I dunno if he'd care to take a pay cut to join a contender.

If it is 'Sheed I really hate to think of him going to the Cavs, my money is on McDyess being the foward if true.

But on a positive note for the c's, if one of the detroit fowards gets released, it means a push-over game for us today!  8)

Come on, no one has a "higher profile" than Joe Smith. No one.
