It's always a good sign when even the home announcers are getting discouraged.  They look like they expect to lose tonight.  They'll make a run sooner or later though - let's build this up to 20 or so first.

This is the second game without KG, and it's the second game in a row where I've thought "Wow, I haven't seen them play this good in a while."

Now, I'm not saying KG is a negative influence. I think we'd do better WITH him. It's just that without KG, you need to play really well to match the results you'd have with him, and the team seems committed in every way. Lots of good ball movement, second efforts, people making shots, and the defense is--with a few exceptions--staying in front of their assignment on every possession.

  • Let's Go Celtics
I could never coach this team I would be tempted to play Rondo 48 minutes a night.  I mean he is only 22 and a day old.  When he's in the game we are the best team in the NBA.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

What is it about Leon, that he gets calls when even Pierce can't?  It's weird, but so valuable: here he draws two quick fouls on Carmelo, getting him out of the game and us that much closer to shooting the penalty.

Yeah, I love it.  Here's hoping he can improve the FT shooting over time, though.

We are rapidly becoming the shortest team in the NBA.  If Scals has to miss games what are we going to do with our big rotation?

(ahem) Mikki Moore just might be walking through those doors.

"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

"Man, Rondo would be crap if he didn't have three all-stars around him."
