  • Basketball is like chess, only without the dice
Pops Mensah-Bonsu just signed a 10-day with the Spurs.

Yeah, I wrote a few days ago Pops would be the only D-League player I'd consider to sign if we weren't able to get someone better. He's playing on an injury, he's raw and he lacks defensive awareness and savy, but he's an athletic freak, who can rebound, block shots and hit the jumper from the top of the key very well.

anyone else find this somewhat sad?    ???

I'm having visions of the final scene from the Wrestler

Harsh. He's still an upgrade over Big Fatty.

I know.  I was kidding, but I do like the vision of a decrepit Antoine standing on the corner of the ring ready ready to dive back in for a last gasp Walker Wiggle.
Yup

Not sad at all.  And Big Baby is better than Antoine because he understands what he's good at.

Like shooting (and missing) 15 foot jumpers in the final minutes of a Celtics-Lakers game?

No.  Like BEING A REAL FATASS while making Toine look like he took steroids or something in comparison

Fatoine? BAH.  FAT-BABY Davis?  Yep.
