What if Smith is not bought out?

What if he goes to Cleveland?

What other contender is looking for a big man?  (Phoenix, Orlando...)

That's the question of the day, definitely.  I generally believe in the "bird in the hand" theory, and it would suck big time if the Celts missed out on both Smith and Moore.  A lot depends upon what the Celts are hearing out of OKC (or from Smith's agent).  If the agent thinks a buyout will happen, I'd wait.  If he doesn't, then I'd probably move on Moore.

Looks like the Lakers are after Moore, too.

In my opinion, I think we should just sign Moore. If Smith does get bought out, there is a high possibility that he might not even join our squad. Smith is a better player than Moore but I think Danny should act quick before we end up with nobody.

This is true BigAl, I'd rather end up with Moore than be stuck with nobody. If we don't sign Moore and he ends up with the Lakers we'll be kicking ourselves come playoff time.

To me, you have to go after the 1st one that becomes available.

There are just to many title contenders looking for a similar player.

In this case, it's Mikki Moore. We all know he's not as good as Joe Smith but he can help more than Big Baby or Leon. Smith or Moore would be an upgrade.

Mikki Moore is a bum.

I kind of like Moore from afar(he reminds me of Hermes' son on Futurama), but haven't really paid that much attention to him over the years. If he's there to be taken for practically nothing, why not?
But to say Moore would be an improvement over Scal, Powe, or BBD?- I really doubt it.  Hasn't he been on about 11 different teams?

It depends on how long the team would have to wait. 2-3 days is fine. Moore will likely wait on that.

Longer than that? Then things get iffy. Probably best to sign Moore unless Smith gives a strong indication that he'll leave OKC, and sign with Boston.

He has the length none of them have.  And he has shown to be a better player when surrounded by talent.

Mikki moore mix

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gVJYwV5B4g

From the clip and from what i can remember this guy has high agility to makeup for his lack of strength. Jumper is pj brown accurate and because if his speed he is a really good help defender.

The keys to why moore would make a smooth transition into our team is that he is a close to legit 7 footer that we sorely lack from the bench, has speed and agility to work with our defense and can nail those long range jumpers.

Joe Smith is in the same mold but i think moore has a little extra that will make him a better fit with our team. Joe Smith has unfortunately underachieved for all of his nba career while moore has overachieved so in that sense i think moore is a smarter and more adaptable guy.

Can't lose either but i expect by monday moore is going to signed and play a significant role with the team.

Grab Mikki if he's available, especially with KG out a couple weeks.  No time to wait.
