  • The good ole days.
Players that missed significant time:

Deron WIlliams
Carlos Boozer
KG (looks like it)
Chandler
Tony Parker
Manu Ginobili
Danny Granger
Biedrins
Big Z
Monta Ellis
Delonte West
Melo
Kevin Martin
Jason Terry
Kirilenko
Gerald Wallace
Artest
Josh Smith
Kaman
Horford

Players with (regular or all) season ending injuries:

Al Jefferson
Andrew Bynum
Tracy McGrady
Michael Redd
Amare Stoudemire
Jameer Nelson
Elton Brand
Gilbert Arenas (more or less)
Bogut

I mean... that is pretty ridiculous.  And I might be missing some.  Are guys taking it too serious with lifting, working too hard in practice and the offseason?  Bodies just seem to be breaking down more easily and more often these days.

oh man... it's a shame that many young players like big al are going to be injured for the rest of the season. And it's a very hard thing to find something positive about this but i got something. Even younger players like Kevin Love are getting signifícant playing time.

That looks bad too... I only listed players of impact that I could think of off the top of my head.  Just about every player I listed is all star quality or just a rung below it.

Yeah, '07 was just insane with regard to injuries. It seemed like every day someone else ended up on the shelf. Redz, just as I was digging into a nice sandwich, I had to come across the Shaun Livingston entry. Thanks for bringing it all back! Easily one of the worst injuries I've ever seen. Although I might have to characterize is as follows:

Los Angeles Clippers

    * Shaun Livingston * - leg fell off

Is this some sort of trend?  I hope not.

It's always tough to see the big injuries but I'd say one of the big changes here is the young guys.  I think Al Jefferson's injury, especially considering how he had just been snubbed for the All-Star game before, is the worst.  I feel for the guy.
