I'd rather have Joe Smith, thanks.  Moore isn't that good.

Roy, I'm feeling to lazy to look this up in Coon's FAQs, but if Smith is bought out  can teams claim him off waivers? Will Cleveland be able to do that?

No, it's only teams that could fit his salary under the cap or in a trade exception.  None of the contenders can do that, to my knowledge.

So, Cleveland can't use the MLE, right? What about Denver with the Allen Iverson's trade exception? They are also looking for a backup big.

okc trading wilcox to the knicks, reduces the chance of smith being bought out imo

Teams can't use the MLE, no.  I'm not sure how big the Denver exception is, but if it could fit Smith's salary, then they could claim him.

I think the waiver could be retroactively changed to a trade, if the team waiving the player feels like cooperating with the team with the TE. But I think that's the only way a TE could be used to claim a player off waivers.

Not sure about that, though.

if i am the barons/thunder/whtaever i would release joe, save $$$, draft motivates teams to lose games @ the end of the season, don't think joe is part of there plans next year and all he is going do is possibly help them win unwanted games.

Moore lacks the body weight to cover 5's effectively.  Joe Smith is also lean, but seems alot stronger. Take Smith if available.

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
All we need now is for Joe Smith to become a complete malcontent for the next couple of weeks. Refuse to play Joe, refuse to play.

Not a big Moore fan either. Although on Nov 5th, he had 11 rebounds vs one of the worst teams in the league. Hey, in that game he matched POB season total for minutes played!

He seems like he is asleep at the wheel for most games he plays in. Doesn't sound appealing to me.

I'd love to have Mikki Moore here in Boston. He'd be a great addition.

you guys are kidding yourself if you don't think he won't be a good pickup for us.

He is skinny yes but he has length, will fit easily into our defensive system, can hit the mid range shot gets you suprising blocks and rebounds.

I remember when he was playing with jersey he torched us a couple of games and i was impressed

Looking at his stats never knew he once played for us

Forget about booth, either joe smith or moore are the big guys the celts could use
