Would the Cavs do this deal just to be cutthroat?

Let's say that the Cavs can't land Jefferson, Carter, Camby, Jamison, or anybody else.  Would they do this deal:

Cleveland trades:  Wally Sczerbiak ($13,775,000) + $3 million

Oklahoma City trades: Joe Smith ($4,795,000) +  Wilcox ($6,750,000)

The difference between Wally and Smith + Wilcox is $2.23 million.  The $3 million cash from Cleveland would make up that difference, and put around $750,000 in OKC's pocket.  Would the Cavs do this?  It serves the dual purposes of bolstering Cleveland's front court while also weakening the Celtics.
