Voluntary CB Ban from promoting FB&G

[D Dub]

Jeff has been very kind to choose that site as the Laker blog of choice.  Always has kind words for Kurt, and lets LA bloggers come here and discuss things rationally.

Too bad Kurt doesn't feel the same.  What a jerk that guy is, I go over there and attempt to post some rational thoughts, while complimenting their team btw on their improved D, and dude doesn't even let let the post hit the board before its deleted.

Clearly they aren't interested in anything but their West Coast Bias over there, so I would like to propose that my fellow CB'ers and the staff here to refrain from blowing anymore sunshine up this fool's skirt and cease and assist from supporting that joke of a site.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience.  In fairness to them, maybe they had a rash of Celtics trolls, and were being preemptive?  I know mods get an itchy ban finger after a bunch of attacks.

That's too bad, though.  I know last season, they were pretty respectful, and better than most Lakers blogs.  I haven't been over there recently, though.

Quick question, D Dub - did you actually read -why- Kurt did not post your comment?

His post: "To the person posting as Leon Powe: It’s not content but I’m killing everything posted in an active players name."

In other words, if you'd reposted your exact same comment under a different name, it would have gone through.

Nah. If he was a troll, he would have made more mention of D Dub's fantastic "cease and assist" malapropism.

But who would stoop to such a level?

In all seriousness, I think that the main posts, to say the least, are generally pretty fair-minded at both FB&G and CB. The comments sections may veer into homerism - but then again, one can hardly blame the master of the kennel for every dog that misbehaves.

LOL. No - had you bothered to read Kurt's posts, you would have seen that he deleted any of the "Celtics sucks" variety, which is consistent for him. He has strict rules, which he enforces very evenly, so that his forum will actually be a site where real basketball discussion can take place. But apparently you aren't interested in that.

Sorry, didn't mean any offense.  I just found it curious that your first post ever on CB was in defense of a Lakers site, on a day after the Celtics lost to the Lakers.  My bad, and please accept my apologies.
