"The Hornets and Heat have reportedly had some preliminary discussions of swapping Tyson Chanlder for Shawn Marion.

Sources close to the situation refuse to rule out Chandler's departure. Chris Paul and David West, sources say, are the Hornets' only two untouchables."

I think it makes a lot of sense for Miami, don't know how I feel about it for New Orleans but my initial thought is that it wouldn't work.

Thoughts?

Rather shocked NO would make this deal. Who would be their center, Hilton Armstrong?
Maybe if they are trying to lock and load for next year, we could take Posey back by offering Scal (expiring) and whatever else to make numbers work.

I wonder if NO does this trade they either go really small or do they turn around and try to trade Marion for another big like Camby?

  • You know my methods, Watson.
chandler's fragile...might as well move him because he seems to be getting brittle...

New Orleans are too far over the cap to get any benefit from an expiring contract in free agency. They'd be tearing apart a contender for no reason.

Can't see this trade happening
