I only have 8 9 and 0
80's Bird
90's despite his short stay I always really liked Dino Radja. Just seemed like he has character
00's I know the natural thing is Paul Pierce, but there is just some weird combination of hope and desperation on a losing young team that kinda amplifies being a fan (in my experience), and I've never liked 1's or 2's, being a big man myself. I'm gonna say Al Jefferson
EDIT: I mean I love KG, but according to the rules we can't pick him, and the thing about Jefferson and Gomes and Perk is that they all kinda came in together (I understand diff draft years). And can any of us die hard CB'ers deny that the time when we most closely followed every tiny little bit of information regarding the squad was ever more intense than 2006/2007?
I mean every little mention, David Thorpe mentioning Big Al's post moves, Hollinger leaving Big Beezy off list of "Young Players to Watch For" or something?
People remember the detroit game (11 pts, 10 boards, Lost), or the Denver game (28pts, 10rbs, WIN!)?
We (the celtics crazed bloggers) were all watching every single minute Big Al was out there just for some glimmer of consistency, some kernel of hope. Something to tell us "And this too shall pass". Def my favorite player from the 2000's.
