The best part about the show is we've already met the mother.

How so?  Did I miss something?

Let's see if anyone can guess the episode.

Well I remember the episode where he was dating the roommate, and then we saw the back of the "mother" as she was walking into her room, and I also vaguely remember a party that they were at and he said the mother was at the party, but he never met her.  I don't know if she was shown or not.

The second one is the right episode and we do actually see her. I'm curious if anyone can remember the moment.

It's the girl he bumped in to. The "bump girl" as she's known by HIMYM fans. But, I believe that it's been disproven by the creators

It was denied in a very " Oh Crud! You guys caught that?" kinda way. I would actually eb dissapointed in them as storytellers if they didn't bring her back.

At least we finally saw her.  Now we have season 9, which will take place over a weekend, for them to meet.

I used to love the show, now I watch it like I watched lost the last few seasons, just to finish it out.  I rarely even smile anymore during the show, let alone laugh.

idk, I loved the 8th season tbh. The whole season was a "Ted" season and that needed to happened in order for him to meet the mother. He isn't going anywhere unless he can finally let go of Robin and in the season, he almost broke down mentally a few times. Still some good laughs but very good storyline.

I still get a good chuckle or even a hearty laugh in each episode, so I'm still a big fan

Sill love watching HIMYM, and I'm still holding out hope that "Your Aunt Robin" somehow becomes Ted's wife.  :)

Ted is easily my least favorite character. When he's not being sickeningly sappy and corny, the show is funny. That's happened less and less in seasons 7 and 8. When he has girlfriends and stop whining like a 12 year old girl its a good show.

Been invested in this show since Season One so I feel the need to ride it out to the end.

However, this show is crawling to the finish line these days.   The past few seasons have been pretty disappointing.

It's a good show but the storyline has been dragging out for a couple of years now.

I was a little disappointed with the season finale, that they just quickly cut to the mother without giving us any more information after me wondering who this girl was for 8 seasons was annoying. I know that was a run on sentence but it annoyed me so much I completely forgot about sentence structure.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
This show est tres terrible. Marshall and Lilly are parents now (lame), Barney is now like someone bought a local bar you really liked that had lots of character and uniqueness and enfranchised it, so you could go to it in 6 convenient locations in the tristate area. Ted has always been a woman in a man with idiotic hair's body. Robin...I don't hate or love Robin, but that's always been the case.

The show lost its soul sometime in the 6th season or so. Great watch season 1-5.
