These are teams that don't have a very good record due to bad starts but have been playing well lately giving good teams problems and even beating them.  They don't figure to make the playoffs but at least they are not tanking.

Minnesota - A best kept secret in the NBA according to the Jazz TV crew. They lost to Utah but they kept coming back until there were two minutes left. Currently, they are 13 and 27 but are 9 and 4 since Christmas Day.

Oklahoma - 5 and 5 in their last ten games after they were on a pace to be the all-time losingest team in NBA history. They have a bite at the Ford Center, 165 miles to my South and have beaten Utah, Denver, and Detriot in their crib lately.

Both teams are similar in that they fired their coach and they have a lot of young talent that is maturing. Both teams are kind of fun to follow. Niether is a gimme anymore.
