Okay, this isn't the first time I've seen these horrible, awful, uglier than fugly uniforms that the Cavs are wearing again tonight against the Hornets but it is the first time I've seen them while simultaneously blogging.

So is anyone else with me here? Are these all yellow unis with the crimson lettering easily the ugliest landry in the league this side of OKC? Wow!!!That color is just hideous and nauseating!!

What were their marketing people thinking?

My alma mater is in Cleveland and I can say without reservation that Cleveland used to be a seriously ugly city. Of course, I haven't been back there in 20 years or more so maybe they cleaned it up and made some areas nice.

I do have to say that campus was quite nice though.

I don't mind the retro look I love the Celtics one but the Cavs one is extremely fugly. I didn't like the blue ones they debuted last week either. Those are some garish shades they're traumatizing my eyesight with.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

I think its their goal to slowly become the Lakers, and become the center of attention and darling of the media.

Has there ever been an NBA doubleheader without the Lakers being involved? No. Never. Not a single one ever.

Is there ever a double header without Cleveland involved? Its rare. It's not unheard of, but its rare.

The Cavs receive the third most media love behind the Lakers and the Spurs. The Lakers get it handed to them regardless of what there doing or how well they are playing, and the Spurs have earned it by winning 4 championships since 1999-2000.

Couple that media attention with their ugly, Faker-style unis and you have a team well on it's way to attracting disinterested starlets with no knowledge of the game to their home games.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I have to admit, those unis are pretty fugly.  But the Hornets' throwbacks tonight were pretty bad too.  The color scheme wasn't as atrocious, but they were still ugly.  I blame those ugly throwbacks for their inability to put up a fight in Cleveland tonight, and in doing so totally ignore the Cav's defense and the fact I have no idea how NOH has an offense outside of CP3.

The only thing uglier than the Cavs uniforms was the Hornets' performance.

For once, I don't quite agree, Nick.

I think the script is quite ugly.
The uniforms as such are not.
Did you notice the Hornets wore
Bucs (aka the Buccaneers) unis from
the old ABA? I love retro nights.

One of the cool things about the
C's unis is the fact that we've
kept it old school. If it ain't broke
don't (repeat, DO NOT) fix it.
Old school jerseys are cool because they
are usually quite simple. I miss that.

There are so many "out there" crazy unis
these days it's just ridiculous.
Take the Suns for instance. I think
it's by far the most ugly jersey in the
entire league. Then think of what they had
before, and then even before that. Kind of
like evolution going the wrong way!
Then we have the Rockets. Backwards evolution
part deux. Man, don't get me started  :)

Now these I like  :)

ACF, taking me back...love those old Rockets shirts, and Worm's rosy 'do in that photo really does it for me.

Agreed with most of what you said - especially about the Celts' jerseys and the old "if it ain't broke don't fix it" adage's applicability here.  I didn't mind the Cavs jerseys tonight (nor did I the blue ones last week), but I will say that I wasn't that impressed with the Bucs shirts for New Orleans.  That said, the tribute part of it to the ABA is really cool, as ACF notes.

I gather I'm in the minority because if I ever decided to buy a non celtics jersey it would be a clevland delonte jersey in those colors. I also liked the blue ones although I just took a quick glance at them.

Of course if my picture ever winds up on a website it will probably be www.hotchickswithEdited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.bags.com  so definately take my opinion with a grain of salt
