Oden will have a far better career than Durant. Durant will never win a ring, while Oden will win several.
But there's no doubt that Durant will be among the league leaders in field goal attempts for at least the next decade.
This isn't exactly the bold statement you may have wanted it to be considering the teammates that Oden has surrounding him.
Oden right now has a better shot at a ring, but all he is right now is an injury-riddled rookie with some potential, but a lower ceiling than Durant. Durant is not one-dimensional like you say. He's a phenomenal scorer and a good rebounder. Those are 2 things right there. Durant has time to get better on the defensive end, and he has the ability to do so. Oden may only be able to do so much offensively. I get that Durant isn't the most versatile player in the world, but he's extremelly good at what he does. Durant is going to be a perennial 25+ ppg guy, and I cannot comprehend how you see him as a bust. He's light years ahead of Oden in terms of what he's proven at the NBA level.
