Is there a chance that they actually keep that call and award the blazers the basket?  I would get fired on the spot if I were that incompetent.

You have got to be kidding me. If they did this is our favor fans around the league would be saying we were in Sterns pocket.

Just because I'm following via the net, so they got a basket before the half where they had an extra man on the court? Shouldn't that be reviewed and disallowed at the very least?

possibly the worst call I've seen all year.

In any normal day job a screw up of that magnitude results in a firing.

This game started out well reffed, too. I'm disappointed.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Q at the half -

Celtics need to protest this game. The basket for Portland should not have counted with 6 men on the court. The Refs have a chance to correct their error by awarding the Celtics the ball with 10 seconds left in the half and up 45-38.

This is a misapplication of the rules and must be corrected.

I have officially seen the most hilarious NBA rule ever.  I'm hoping this just p---es the Cs off and they come out and pwn in the 3rd.

Yup with about 10 seconds left in the game they put 6 players on the floor and got a dunk out of it because the C's naturally couldn't cover all of their big men. They counted the basket, gave the Celtics a technical free throw.

So they gained a point by it. Complete crap.

are you kidding me? I never thought something so blatant would be allowed! Unbelievable! I'm glad the C's kept their cool. First Oden tosses ray out of bounds after the whistle and then he comes in as the 6th man on the floor and scores an open dunk! Is this junior high bball?

they don't put rules in that book for when the official says "my bad"...

What a farce. I hope the Celtics run a 6 on 5 lob if the game is tied with 2 seconds left in the 4Q.

Other halftime adjustments - need to stop Steve Blake's outside shots. Need to box out better and cover those boards. Need to play more in control and set up open looks for Ray Allen.

Need to use 6 players on defense.
