celtics always seem to get in the lakers' heads - ever since russell psyched them for an entire decade in the 60's. even the loss in '87, that series was actually very close and had no business being that even given the physical condition of the decimated celts.

of course, 1984 & 2008 were tests of wills and boston wins those most of the time.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Finally and it's already getting started.

RAY FOR THREE!!!!!!!!!!

Rondo better not let Kobe relax while playing far off him.

Pierce needs to get going in this game. He's come out sloppy so far..

Didn't like that first quarter.

I just think, if you're gonna shoot 62% you better have a double digit lead because it's going to go downhill from there.

We need to get Ray and Rajon back in.

This is going to be a pretty clear - albeit ugly - look at the inadequacies of our bench, from scoring punch to slowing Bryant down.

Excellent substitutions by Doc - can't leave this bench in against a quality Laker 5 for long.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Vujacic is the only guy who can make beating your chest after a basket not look tough. Props to him on that. I hate what Doc is doing right now, playing our crap bench plus Pierce against their starters.

F**k it.

I'm sorry, I'm not a pessimist normally but we just can't get stops right now. This makes me sick because this Lakers team isn't even that impressive.

Booo.. this doesnt look good...you can tell Phil Jackson wants this one as much as anyone with his rotations
