 >:( I am so mad at this game. Lakers seem to want to bring this rivalry back into full force now, that was obvious tonight. Well don't swallow what you can't chew Kobe.

Lots of turnovers, very few free throws. Not a recipe for success. The refs let things go both ways. Some of the calls are mysterious, however.

We weren't very good, but some of that goes to the Lakers for exposing things on our team. They are very long and take a lot away. I hate the Lakers, but they deserved to win today.

Lastly, I am not sure the Lakers can play much better overall. We can. I still think we are the better team in a seven game series.

At least there wasn't enough time to go back to Stuart Scott after the game. He would have looked like a teenage girl at a Bon Jovi concert. I guess I just dated myself a bit.

I know home cooking and all but refs let ALOT go the Lakers way. Not that you can blame the loss on the refs but it was a factor.

Last time we lost on Christmas Day was December 25, 1985 at the Bricks. Seems like that season turned out OK for the C's.
Wins are few, times are hard. Here is your bleeping St Patricks Day Card.

Wow celts played bad refs played worse.
I was talking to my friends who is a lakers fan and even he agrees if that says anything heres a quote from him

"ya i just want to meet in the finals agian and have none of these refs cause i know we got a win cause of them and i dont like it that way"

I have never once heard an opposing fan admit to getting calls but a Lakers fan doing it that just shows something. I hate blaming refs but it just sapped their energy and called BS offensive foul calls.

Merry Xmas to everyone out there and we only need to wait for tomorrow for a new streak to begin!
Go Celtics

I wasn't on here during the game, so forgive me if this was said somewhere, but I thought there was a key part of the 4th quarter where KG & Pierce were waiting to come in and a few key possessions passed while TA & co. were imploding.  I would have liked to have seen a timeout there to get those two in the game and not give up those possessions.

Anyhow...No worries here.  Lakers played well, Celts didn't so much, but were in it til the end.

I thought Kobe was outstanding tonight.  The guy has to have the cleanest swishes ever.  He hit some crazy hard shots and showed a ton of hustle.
Yup

we sure need somebody to replace the two players we lost from last season - one of which should be here - how obvious can it be that danny screwed up letting posey go (i keep saying that losing posey is a replay of losing paul silas in '77).

can someone please tell me what all the griping was about and what ray allen was so upset about ?
i had the sound off because i cannot take the blare of those network morons.

Kobe played well for the Lakers and made some tough shots. There bench looked better than ours.

However that officiating was beyond one sided. Ariza had two plays where he saved the ball where he was out. Rondo got called for an offensive foul when Kobe fouled him. Pierce's jump ball violation. The double foul which should have been Ray shooting to potentially put us within 1. The entire Laker team getting away with hacks, holds, clutching etc. Perkins had one in the first where Walton blocked him in the face with no call. Forget Donaghy, I think Stern should be the one investigated.

No biggie. Puts to an end the misconception that we don't need to tweak this bench to win another title. Never thought we could win again with this bench, and we won't. Clearly.

There are going to be nights when someone's going to have to step up off the bench - like this one - to help the starters against a top-echelon team. You know. People like, uh, PJ Brown. And Posey.

Now, it's time for Danny to start weeding out the chaff on the bench and bringing in the length, shooting and defense we will have to have to make a serious Finals run.

I agree with Coach Bo.

Celts played badly, Lakers had a
good game, we lost. We're still
27 and 3 with a good shot at HCA.

Bring on the Warriors...
