Celtics1990, you might want to change your pick, you can't pick rookies until they've played 10 games.  Find someone and use their average from last year.

It's impressive how many people are playing this game this year... After the baseball version completely died I thought all of these games were headed downhill.

Awesome turnout so far though, hopefully it stays this good.

Yeh.  2 things helping the hoops game over baseball

1) It's basketball
2) The stat we're working with is just inherently better for the purpose

Never did figure how to make a go of the football version.

Do it for a team. Each person has to choose one team and whether that team will go over OR under their weekly scoring average. The first 2 games would be off the year before's numbers.

So if St Louis is averaging 20 PPG and they are playing the Steelers and you expect them to be shutout you can pick like this:

nickagneta: Rams, 20.0 under
Redz: Pats, 24.5, over

So if Redz and I are the only players and the Rams only put up 14 points and the Pats put up 30. I win because my under points of 6 was better than Redz over of 5.5.

This way as many as 56 people can play a week even on bye weeks. You can have one person choose the Steelers and the over and another choose the Steelers and the under. You can not chose teams on consecutive weeks.
