Probably Not.

But the good thing is the Lakers have 2 back-to backs b4 christmas with the 2nd games being the Magic and Hornets. The Lakers will prolly be 25-4 and the Celtics will only have 3 losses. :D

Probably not? Why would you doubt that the Celtics can beat any team on their home court?

it will be hard for the celtics, but not at all impossible.

in the playoffs the hawks beat the celtics three times in atlanta, but the score were....
Atl     Bos
102    93
 97     92
103    100

an average winning margin of 6.1 points. not overwhelming and i thought the last two games could have gone to the celtics.

when boston won, they did so by an average of around 20+ points. in three of the victories the celtics won by 22 or more points.

if both teams  play their best games, boston wins. but boston does have to play their best game to beat atlanta there.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I'm now convinced they will win. JR Giddens is a great reverse jinxer.  :D

depends on which Celtics team shows up,the one that plays like a well oiled machine or the one that has some flaws, with the discombobbled bench.

  • Let's Go Celtics
I'm sure they'll get a sellout when the Celtics come, but other than that their arena is actually very easy to play in.  Their attendance stinks and the place can be very quiet.

It will be better for us when we get there, but still nothing like the playoffs last year.  I'm excited to play them there and with Smith back in the lineup, should be a good test.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

one thing I do like about this game, is that there is a reason for the Celtics to really get up for it, kind of like a game against Detriot.  I'm sure theres gonna be more than one person in the ear of Celtics players in the time leading up to this game telling them that they cant win in that building

Atlanta is not that good.

The only reason the Celtics lost on the road last year in the playoffs to them three times is because they didn't play defense on the road early in the playoffs.

You think they might want to go play in Atlanta now and take care of that?

Also, last year the Celtics beat them in Atlanta when Atlanta was trying to get into the playoffs by 10 points.

Way to much overreacting to hype in the NBA.

If the Nets can beat the Hawks in Atlanta, I'm sure the Celts can.

I disagree with "they are not that good",after watching them beat the Cavs,i know the C was out for the Cavs to,but they have given everyone they've played a good game this season so far. They are more athletic than we are,and sometimes that can be a bigger problem than usual. Also their bench is much stronger this year.Im not saying they will beat us,but i wouldn't take them lightly.

So you think they are so good we should ask if the Celtics can beat them in Atlanta?

If the Celtics are on their game, they will beat Atlanta.  No questions asked.

That's why they beat them so badly in Boston every game last year.
