Yep yep yep. Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson just said and confirmed it during the Rockets and Warriors game. JVG even said Lebron should win the defensive player of the year award. Oh and it even gets better. Mark Jackson said the Lakers couldn't beat the Celtics or Cavs right now in a 7 game series. A Lakers loss to the Kings tonite again would be the icing on the cake. I've watched Lebron I was 8 years old when he was in HS and Lebron James just may lead the "Jordan Magic Bird Kareem" one day. He doesn't have the moves as those 4 but all he needs is that large first step and his 6'10 270 body will take care of the rest.

Im not gonna say the Cavs are better than the Celtics this year cuz their not battle tested. But the Cavs look like they'll take 2009-2010 at this point. Paul Pierce is the only human on the planet that can hope to contain that man.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
we have a better team...they have nothing that compares to KG or a MUCH stronger Ray Allen.

i'm not ready to anoint them anything yet...during this current win streak of the cav's they've only played against ONE team .500+

so i'm not totally impressed yet...

I've mentioned this in another thread, but I think it's worth noting that the Cavs no longer have Joe Smith on their roster. Smith burned the Celtics last year in the playoffs over and over again shooting the basketball, and gave the Cavs some size off the bench that they do not have this year. When Z and Ben Wallace go to the bench, Lebron is now taking the PF minutes, which he did not do at all last year.

Uhh I'm pretty sure it was official 6 months before his first ever NBA game when David Stern and his marketing juggernaut decided it.

Lebron grew 2 inches...since when?

He's tall but he's not 6' 10".

Yep.  It is an advantage for the Celtics.  (of course if they trade for Jamison, that changes that)

Cavs do have the second best defense in the East (even though they have the best stats right now).

Lebron James is seven feet tall, and will consume the Celtics with fire balls from his eyes, and bolts of lightning from his arse.

I think your age is showing a bit, in that it seems as though you think what Lebron is doing is unique.  Michael, Bird, and Magic (in other ways) were all equally unstoppable (or more so) than Lebron, and they all won at least three championships.

Also, don't concede 2009-10 to the Cavs yet.  Why shouldn't this team be just as strong, or stronger, next season?

For what its worth, A commentator, either Hubie Brown or Doug Collins said he was 6-8 274 right now. The 274 seems like too specific a number not to be true. Lebron himself said that he has grown an inch since HS.
