he is alive at the end of the series.  however, the new series that is coming out is about the new avatar, therefore aang is dead.  not sure how he died or if they will touch upon it.  he will be in the series from tie to time in his spirit state and provide guidance to korra (the new avatar), the same way roku did for him.

Haven't been on the forums in years. Let's bump this!!!

I saw Attack on Titan and thought it was fun, but a little cumbersome at times with the filler episodes. Loved Kill la Kill. It's the same team that does TTGL. What has everyone else been watching? I've been on a Star Trek binge (all series) and am looking to immerse myself again.

Code Geass is amazing. Glad there are more people on here that appreciate a little anime now and again. If you like that I highly recommend Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Super fun and amazing storyline to go with it. Similar in the sense that they are both mecha.

I've pretty much stopped watching anime because of lack of time, but the newest incantation of Hunter X Hunter is good and worth the watch.

Hunter X Hunter has been hands down my favorite shounen series.

I've only seen the first series (the 62 episode one) and it was amazing. I have no idea why I didn't keep watching. Are the other installments as good? As for my favorite shonen, I'd stay Hajime no Ippo is the best I've seen thus far.... I hear ya on the free time. Between work, school and trying to not be a fatty, I'm lucky to get in 2 hours of actual tv/movie time a week.

You only watched the series? Didn't continue to the OVAs? There are 3 sets of OVAs and they were great.

The new installment starts from the very beginning. Overall I understand it's more faithful to the manga in some regards (both are very faithful so it's not important).  The important part is that it also animated the Chimera Ant Arc, so it went further.

I love Hajime no Ippo until I got a bit tired of it because it became repetitious. I'll say this much though, there has been no anime/manga that has made me laugh more than Hajime no Ippo.

My faves are still Code Geass and Evangelion. And Akira close second.

Code Geass

Neon Genesis: Evangelion

Akira

Attack on Titan has been great so far, but I only watch the English dub, and have to wait for season 2. On that note, I started watching Bleach but in the English dub, one of the main characters (the main character?) was voiced by the same guy that did the voice of Lelouch Lamprouche in Code Geass, which I had just re-watched for a third time right before that, and it totally freaked me out. Couldn't watch it lol

I also dig me some Hellsing. Vampire hunter D too, and Ghost in the Shell. Not Stand Alone Complex, haven't seen that yet.

And some oldschool Dragonball, though mainly Z.

I saw Cowboy Bebop, but it didn't resonate with me at all. And while I didn't mind it, Full Metal Alchemist wasn't what I hoped it'd be either.

FLCL was pretty sweet, but slightly too nonsensey, if that makes sense.

When I was a kid I seriously loved me some Teknoman (Tekkaman) but upon rewatching... not so much :]

Teknoman (Tekkaman)

I dug Spirited Away, and also occasionally put on Howl's Moving Castle.

I saw Samurai Champloo and Ninja Scroll, but don't remember much of them. Dunno if that's because that was a weird period after just emigrating, or if the quality of the anime had something to do with it, but there it is. Also, that's when I first really started watching anime so I was exposed to a lot of it in a short amount of time ;)

I'm seriously looking forward to seeing Death Note btw, I think that's next on my list. Though I hear the manga is a lot better than the anime, so I might jump into that, for a change. But I'll have to finish reading the Sin City series first, which my boss kindly supplied me with :]

I will not watch Naruto. Full stop.

I've re-downloaded Batman the Animated Series. Man, that was some stylish artwork, great writing and an overall awesome cartoon.

And here's a list of 80's and 90's cartoons I loved:
- Captain Bucky O'Hare (FLIPPIN AWESOME, still is!!!)

Captain Bucky O'Hare

- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
- The Real Ghost Busters
- Transformers
- M.A.S.K.
- Bionic Six

Bionic Six

- Bravestarr
- Beetlejuice
- Galaxy Rangers (another great intro tune)

Galaxy Rangers

- X-men
- Maple Town (SUE ME)
- Ring Raiders

Ring Raiders, brilliant toys, very collectible :]

- Dino Riders (only the episodes that had the T-Rex in it)
- Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light

Visionaries: Underappreciated Knights of the Magical Light

- Spider Man and his Amazing Friends
- Spider Woman (to a lesser extend)
- Captain N (lots of awesome Nintendo characters, part of the Super Mario Brothers Super Show)
- The Legend of Zelda

The Legend of Zelda: Well, excuuuuuse me, princess!

- C.O.P.S.
- Dungeons and Dragons
- The Incredible Hulk
- Ulysses 31
- Rude Dog and the Dweebs

Rude Dog and the Dweebs

I also remember seeing the intro to Mysterious Cities of Gold, which had great music, but never really watching it:

(I did not like He-Man and the Thunder Cats that much - lame toys too lol, did like GI JOE toys, just not the cartoon)
