By the way, why has Dunleavy not been playing?  I assume it is injury related, but any info will be appreciated -- thanks!
I read it was tendinitis turning into some bone spurs .

  • The good ole days.
10 of 15 of the Lakers games were homecourt...they've had a softer schedule so far than we have.

this is a good valid point
even if we have to check competition
3 tps for the one who make it here
They played 5 games at home wihout going on the road before coming to Indy.

again I agree with you
in the home court advantage here
I just want to know the competition and records of the competition before

Lakers Strength of Schedule thus far - .552
Celtics Strength of Schedule thus far - .515

But the home/away thing definitely sways it towards even if anything.

TPs please Edgar.   ;D

The Lakers have 27 of their first 44 games at home, and many of those against weak squads - they will almost certainly have a gaudy record through January at least.  Similar deal with Cleveland - look at LA's February and March, and Cleveland's late January, Feb, and March slates sometime. The fact that we've still got the best record in the league is very promising going forward.

The Lakers defense is a fraud. It's just a zone where they use their excellent size. The same D that they played last year when they just got Gasol. They were supposed to be a good defensive team going into the finals last year as well. We all know how that turned out.

Indy made the Celtics D look pretty fraudulent too
Yup

Don't get caught up too much in LA's losses.

We will have to go through them in the finals.

And it won't be easy.  They are a solid squad, period.

Yes they are. Definitely a better squad than last year. I still don't think they can beat us, though.

San Antonio or Portland may stop them.

TPs bigticket and housecall.

Thanks for the info.  Dunleavy is indeed under rated.  But he is also over paid...

On a separate note, I think both GSW and Indy won out on that trade -- Indy needed to get rid of Steven Jackson and he was considered toxic.  He has thrived in GSW, but Dunleavy and to a lesser extent Troy Murphy have both thrived in Indy....

Dont get caught up in the laker propaganda, they arent guaranteed to make the finals, neither are the celtics...they looked nearly identical in last years playoff run leading up to the finals..who cares how solid they are...we hate them, period

They absolutely 'can' beat us.

I don't think they will...but they have the ability to beat us in a 7 game series.

San Antonio or Portland may stop them.

And we could get beat by Cleveland or Detroit.

But that is not going to happen.

Boston v LA in the finals this year is all but set....as long as no injuries.

That is a pretty big if though. Plus I do seem to recall a close game 7 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. It is never never never never easy to win it all.

Well the C's at least were on a back to back and got their at 4am. Not that it is a big excuse but Laker did not have any excuse.  Lakers as usual did not have a back to back.

True enough. But you can't win every game. The Lakers were the best team in the west last year. I haven't seen anything to make me think that has changed.
