SOO dominant. i don't enjoy watching him play at all though. he's just one big muscle with a hideous release.

The Shaq comparisons are completely inapropriate. Diesel is 4 inches taller and 100 pounds heavier than Howard, and at one time moved just as well. He was a dominant post scorer with a go to move (the drop step), as well as a very reliable jump hook.

He may not have blocked as many shots, but remember, during his peak there was no such thing as defensive three seconds. He could camp out in the paint, and people would not dare enter.

Finally, he was playing against some all-time greats and some all-time goodds in the paint - Duncan, Hakeem, Ewing, Motumbo, Smitts, Mourning.

Comparing Howard to Shaq is like comparing Mullins to Bird. All-star versus all-time.
"All I have to know is, he's my coach, and I follow his lead. He didn't have to say anything in here this week. We all knew what we had to do. He's a big part of our family, and we're like his extended family. And we did what good families do when one of their own is affected." - Teddy Bruschi

I'm going to be as nice as I can be he lacks the 'mentality' needed to be a dominate player.  Maybe some of that will come with age.  Great fantasy Center though.

Edgar you're the best haha... TP

I disagree with your overrated assessment, but the picture is still great.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Shouldn't his cape be a bit more flaccid?  He is upside down after all.

Or is it a Super Cape?

Yup

I don't really get the insistence that a comparison to Shaq is unwarranted. Don't get me wrong, I think Shaq in his prime was better, but the comparison is not way off. At the age of 23, Shaq averaged 29/11/2.5 on 20 shots per game and 60% shooting. At age 23, Howard is averaging 21.5/14/4 on 12 shots per game and 60% shooting. Both are monsters who physically dominate any and every opponent they face. Shaq was a bit more of a behemoth, whereas Howard is a more athletic player. As you can see from the shots/game, Shaq was more prominently featured in the offense at that stage in his career that Howard currently is, and was a bit more advanced as an offensive player. However, I'd say Howard is the better rebounder and defender.

Overall, Shaq was slightly better, but if hear some people around here talk about Howard you'd think he was Kendrick Perkins or something. The guy is an absolute animal, and the closest thing we've had to Shaq over the past 2 decades.

thanks Hoyo
and of course is a steel cape redz.

Now the reason i dont like and never will like Howard
is

1) that dunks wasnt a dunk
2) He lacks the killer instict
3) too much media hype for what he is
4) lacks the killer instinct
5) He thinks hes funny
6) lacks the killer instinct\
7) He is STILL very raw for my basketball taste

Killer instinc: That capacity of making other teams miserable, by actually WINING games not only making strong under the basket moves

I pick KG 10000000000 times every single day and 40000 times on sunday
for example among a dozen or So players
