Who can create the worst Celtics trade on the ESPN trade machine? I know I'm not the only one who wastes time on the trade machine. I have one to start with, but it's easy/lazy and involves the Knicks, which is way too simple. I'd love to see some 3/4 team gems.

I'll keep working at it. 2 TPs to the winner.

Wow.  That's pretty bad.

The nutshell version:

Boston Celtics trade:  Pierce, KG, Ray, Powe, Rondo, Perk, Pruitt, Walker, BBD

Boston Celtics receive: Blount, Curry, Kmart, QRich, Jeffries, Haslem (we needed his salary; he can play), Atkins, Cook, Joel Anthony

It kills us both in terms of talent *and* the salary cap, and improves two Eastern Conference rivals (one in our division).

[dang] Roy you beat to the punch on the 4 way.  That is an ugly one!  I think the Heat would be pretty happy, and Danny Ainge would have very quickly worn out all good will he had managed to compile.

this team has run it's course, lets go back to the original plan

4 way trade link

(ok, it isn't as bad as the ones above, but I found it fun.)

Haha.  I think some people would be pretty psyched with that trade.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
This would be the worst thing we could do to Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett:

Boston Trades:
KG, Ray Allen, PP
Boston Gets:
Antoine Walker (9 Million per, 3years left), Jason Kidd(21 Million 1 yr), Eric Dampier (11.5 Million per, 3 yrs), Larry Hughes (12 Million per, 2yrs), Darko Milicic (7 Million per, 3 yrs)

Roy, you are the early leader. That is a thorough destruction of the Celtics roster, and I am actually pretty impressed with the mastery of the trade machine. Kudos to all who suggested the reacquisition of Mark Blount in some form, and to the one who suggested we acquire Vince Carter, my least favorite current NBA player that doesn't rhyme with Schmobe Schmyant. Roy's in the lead, but again solid lack of quality all the way around.
