Sorry if I'm missing something but I don't see it here or on ESPN or Yahoo, just reported it on Score In The Morning here in beaver land.

Here's the link.

From Real GM:

Quote
The Wizards have fired head coach Eddie Jordan, according to a report by the Washington Post on Monday morning.

Ed Tapscott, who had carried the title of Director of Player Development but traveled with the team and essentially served as an extra assistant coach, will take over coaching duties.

The Wizards have opened the season with a 1-10 record.

I didn't see this coming although it is really not all that big of a surprise considering their 1-10 start.

EDIT:  My bad, I didn't see that there was already a thread on this.

It was only a matter of time.  They were looking way too much like the Bulls after Skiles lost them.

...of course I think the real problem is with all of the injuries, they were just a terrible team.

ESPN has it up on the website as breaking news.  I originally picked this up from RealGM via the Washington Post. I didn't see this thread before I started one myself.

it was a matter of time, but I still think Eddie's a good coach - he'll do well somewhere else

A good coach victimized by bad luck (injuries) and a front office that couldn't put together a real winner.

Its looks like one of those situations where they have to put the blame on someone, why not the coach.I have kept up with him somewhat throughout his playing days,on and off the court.Eddie is a class act as some have spoke of with Grant Hill.He will survive this and some other team will get a great coach down the road.
