It would be interesting to know what they want for him, although last summer tells us pretty clearly that Wyc isn't going to spend any more.

God, he'd be perfect as the sixth man on this club.

I would love to have him, but we just don't have the contracts to match. My guess is that he will go to Cleveland, but who knows? If he does get traded, I think it will just be a salary dump with Charlotte maybe getting a 1st round pick and an expiring contract out of it.

while we're discussing trade of draft picks....how do you account for them in calculating whether or not a deal works under salary cap?

Draft picks don't count as any salary.

I love the effort and the defense he plays.

BUT

He is one hit to the head from being finished.   His style of play has lead to too many concusions.  I think the big reason he would be available is the Bobs are afraid his career will be ended soon.

I also am not convinced he is not simply a taller version of Tony Allen.  When he was on the Kings, he basically had the same problems Tony has had with the C's...no outside shot, made too many mistakes, and struggled playing within the team concept.  He didn't break out until he went to a terrible team that allowed him to be the man on offense, and his mistakes weren't as pronounced because the team was so bad anyways.

$9 million per year is a lot to pay for someone like that.

It would either cost us Perk with lesser salaries or Ray for Wallace and more salaries. I wouldn't do either deal.

Wallace is one of the most overrated players in the NBA. Bad contract too.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they can get for him.

I took a look at the trade checker. No way the deal gets done.

But I'd definitely prefer him to the mess we've got on the bench.
