Who is the worst official in the NBA??

Make no mistake, the Celtics deserved to lose last night, and this is not a veiled shot at Violet Palmer. However, there has to be a "worst official in basketball," and I wonder who CB thinks it is.

The list of nominees is long and not so distinguished, but personally I have to go with Kenny Mauer. To call him incompetent is an insult to incompetent people everywhere. Who do you think is the worst of the worst?

violet, because she's so predictably bad. sometimes the other bad ones surprise me.

but every violet game is the same. a slow paced, heavily fouled game that favors the home team. its like clockwork.

we deserved to lose last night, we were terrible, but she wasn't helping with the touch calls on one end and the "anything goes" mentality on the other.

an annoyingly flat game by us made worse by a horrid official.

Those are my three, in varying orders depending on my mood and which happens to be having the most significant impact on the green at a particular moment.

Bennett's peak, of course, was the four-point play by Paul Pierce that he turned into a PP offensive foul in Game 6 against Detroit last year.  What a joke.

When Violet is officiating a Celtics game, I usually expect to see a loss.

No question, no debate, Violet is abysmal. Mauer is terrible too, but words do not describe how terrible a ref Violet is. I have always wondered if she weren't a woman, if she wouldn't have been demoted by now. As the leagues only female referee she is given way more slack than most of the other terrible refs in the NBA, I just wonder how bad she would have to be to get let go.

haha I tried to go in another direction but I'm in the minority. Palmer is truly awful though, it's the rare thread that really has no wrong answer.
