I think that this is a big thing to be concerned about. He is getting floored more frequently. It all started during last playoffs and I thought it will stop.
He needs to have more control in mid air and if he plays the throw-my-body-around game, to find a way to amortize the hit as much as possible.
Don't get me wrong, I love Rondo but this is a injury waiting to happen.

I agree 100%   Everytime he falls I think he is injured.  For about 5 second I think about what it would be like with Pruitt or Cassell as our starter and then he stands back up.  He needs to have more control when going to the hoop.
When I'm in the gym...I like to grunt when  I get my swell on... That way everyone can see how jacked and tan I am.

i was thinking the same thing. think about how many games wade has missed with similar daredevil style. hopefully he'll figure it out, because he is looking great.

just make him wear one of these:

I'm sure it will slow him down a tiny bit, but then the floor will never hurt again - and he can come with Lucky to do a birthday party for you

A good comparison for the style is Iverson in his prime. When Iverson went to the basket, he finished those plays in a very similar "body hurtling through the air" style. He's been a freak of nature to not get as hurt as he could have been. Wade gets more protection from the refs, plus he's a little bigger then AI and can take more punishment. Rondo weighs less then both, and might not have the resistance to injury.

Rondo: 6-1, 171 lbs.

Iverson: 6-0 180 lbs.

Wade: 6-4, 216 lbs.

It's troubling for the long term, I agree.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Even Larry Bird learned he had to protect his body to have a long career.

I agree but most small guards who attack the rim are going to get hammered. You got Iverson, TJ Ford, Rondo, Tony Parker, Steve Nash, and Chris Paul.

The only thing Rajon can do is make sure he got his legs underneath him.

I wouldn't read much into the time it takes him to get up. He's probably just resting before shooting free throws.

Definitely agree that he needs to be careful about how he falls, but I don't think he should change his game. Without a reliable jumper, he needs to use his speed. Still, he needs to make sure he doesn't run into things off the court, like when he hurt his back in NJ last year.
