Hey Lebron.......
Paul Pierce schooled your butt in the playoffs last year, I just did not want you to forget that!!!!!!

I'm not a Lebron James fan but that didn't happen. If your talkin bout Kobe than thats another story.

well, i lived in akron until a bit ago, and watched lebron for a few years in cleveland. he was not a bad kid, but he certainly had a number of questionable decisions that would not mark him as a model citizen.

while great player, he has a ways to go emotionally to reach maturity. but he is still very young and was very pampered, which was did little to encourage him to behave well. but, hopefully he will grow up soon.

the worst part of watching him was that he consistently whined on so many of his fouls, which was irritating.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

yeah, if the rich guy would shut his mouth and eat the steak when he had a chance, the trashcan wouldn't get a steak.

lebron is a great talent who's won nothing...keep your opinions to yourself, son.

I've no love for LeBron James and find him annoying.  Still, I can't agree he hasn't "accomplished" or "proven anything yet." He clearly led his team to a Eastern Conference title over a pretty good Pistons team. That's not chopped liver.

Not to rain on the lebron james is a jerk parade, but the quote in the globe says in bostons preseason game, not after.  He was probably just "trash" talking and thats a pretty tame thing to say someone, considering a certain Defensive MVP who hadn't won anything at this time last year did this to the blazers, http://trailblazerscentercourt.blogspot.com/2008/01/trash-talk-is-garbage.html ,
IMO its part of the game, and if gabe pruitt can't take that, he's probably not gonna do so well in the league

Nail a nice 3 in his face next week Gabe. I've had my fair share of trash talkin on the court myself (alot of F-bombs, and a few pushes), but to rip on someonme like Pruitt?!?!?? Gabe is a quiet guy who doesn't bother anybody, so that's completely uncalled for. Either way PRUITT has a ring and LEJOKE JAMES doesn't, and he'll see that on opening night when he's crying about it....even pollard can brag about a ring now....even scal...wow lebron i'd be going berserk

The messiah apparently isn't getting enough love from his worshipers on ESPN and from Mr Stern.

That really bothers me that LeBron would say something like that, he has been mouthy lately, looks like LeBron is getting that "Im the king and everyone else is dirt" type of ego now huh?...  ::)

I must have missed the time when the messiah showed humility.  The messiah's ego and arrogance will probably trump his incredible talent.  I don't see a championship anytime soon in his future.

If he'd have said that about Walker I'd have no problem with it because Walker has accomplished nothing in the NBA and is acting cocky.  But Pruitt is doing exactly what Walker should be doing.  He's just playing hard trying to make the roster.

Lebron should not say this to anyone. Lebron has turned into a prick. I thought last year he was acting this way too at least like he was better then everyone else. He might be one of the best ball players but when you start acting like that nobody can stand it.

One of the problems with today's 24-hour-coverage-media-marketing-age is that some players are annointed based on looks, potential, a smooth jump-shot, or a large fanbase, while others fail to receive recognition year after year with results such as playoff wins and championship rings.

Lebron James has unique abilities I won't argue that, but he also has huge holes in his game.  He's got a streaky jump shot, he's a below average free throw shooter (career %72 ) , he doesn't fight for offensive rebounds and for a guy who's supposedly got the passing game of Magic Johnson his assist to turnover rating is similar to Delonte West's at about 2 to 1.  By the way, have I mentioned he's 6'8 and has one season (out of 5) where he's averaged more than one blocked shot per game?

These things go unnoticed year after year because he makes enough "Wow" plays and scores enough points that he's more marketable than say a James Posey - who changes his game on a nightly basis for his team.  One night Posey is a defensive stopper, the next night he's a three point specialist, sometimes he's guarding a shooting guard, sometimes he's playing at power forward, the ONLY thing that really wow's you about the guy is how gosh darn good he is at whatever he's focusing on that specific night.

So here's my point: If you watched nothing but ESPN or read nothing but the major sports writers you'd be absolutely shocked to learn that Posey has won championships on three diferent teams (being absolutely integral) while Lebron has never won an NBA championship.  The supposition I guess is "It's just a matter of time for Lebron"  while the same supposition was made for Allen Iverson and Charles Barkley.  I think it's crucial to remember why they play this 82 game season with endless playoffs... For championships.  That's the ultimate goal in a game that is all about goals.

So while Lebron get's all the publicity to say whatever he wants, he really hasn't earned the right to say it.  The difference with a guy like James Posey is that he HAS earned the right to talk, but he won't.  He doesn't have time because right now he's too focused on winning another championship.

Wow lets calm it down here.  the kool aid is going crazy on here today huh.  LeBron is 23, Posey is in his thirties, hes got time to win some chips.  I don't know why everyone is getting all bent out of shape that he said something to Pruitt, Payton talked non stop ish, as did Jordan, as did Bird, as Isiah, ....... Lebron is the best player on earth, he can talk trash to whoever he wants. Hes already made it to the finals, something Jordan didn't do this early on and he has had garbage teams.  I dont like the guy either but geeze give the man some respect.

Garnett is different, he trash talks no doubt, but he's a team player. He does what makes the team better and gets them pumped up. Bird was the same way, and if I could choose either one over Lebron I would.

LeBron isn't a team player?  Everyone gets on him because he defers at the end of game, that he gives up the ball too much.  His defense has improved every year, he was the unquestioned leader of the Team USA team, and he has never moped about having a terrible team.  He's asked for their to be action but hes enough dragged his feet and not given a 100%.  Ive never heard any complaints of Lebron being a bad teammate going back to his days at Saint Vincent.  But back to the fundemental issue, we have no idea what Gabe Pruitt might of done to LeBron before hand, what their history is, I mean really, its a basketball game a million things could of lead to Lebron making fun of Gabe.
