The Celtics and the Nets meet once again in the preseason on the back of a home and home series.  The Celtics snuck past the Nets 111-108 on Thursday in the Izod Center.   The Celtics' 3 stars didn't play in that game and Tony Allen led the Celtics with 32 points.

It is hard to tell what starting lineup the Nets will use because in their 3 preseason games they have used three different starting lineups.  The only positions that seem set are the guard spots and everything else is up for grabs.

Players to watch
Celtics
Gabe Pruitt - Gabe has been showing some good things so far in the preseason.  He has proved that he can play and now to see if he can crack the regular rotation.
Darius Miles   Darius is still on the bubble and needs to show that he can play and that he will fit on this team.  He has looked rather rusty so far and his playing time has been dwindling.
Tony Allen Tony scored 32 points in the last game against the Nets.  He has been somewhat inconsistent and will need to show more consistency whether he gets 20 minutes or 40 minutes.     The Celtics need him to be consistent so that they know what they will get from him when he comes into the game.
Bill Walker   Bill Walker started out very aggressive and was the talk of the first few games.  But, after sitting out a game with soreness in his knee, he played sparingly against the Knicks.

Nets

Vince Carter  Vince Carter is still their best player and will have to get used to playing with an entire new cast this season.  He scored 19 in the last matchup between these two teams.  It will be interesting to see how long he can be patient with the rebuilding project.
Brook Lopez Lopez got the start in the Nets' last game and played well.  Now we get to see how he does off the bench.
Yi Jianlian The Nets have two 7 footers up front and this could be a formidable front line if they can develop chemistry and develop an NBA game. Celtics fans will always think of what might have been if Danny had made that 5th pick instead of making the trade.

Will Cassell play today? If he doesn't (with Rondo injured) then maybe there's something else going on...

I also wonder if Miles will get some minutes or if he is already out of the team...

I'm with you, greenwise--not even audio today.  Looks like Pruitt's doing well?  Surprised O'Bryant hasn't made it in the game yet.

Can anyone tell me how Miles is looking?
When I'm in the gym...I like to grunt when  I get my swell on... That way everyone can see how jacked and tan I am.

Not watching the game, but by looking at the box score i'm guessin Dmiles is playing the usual way. So far 2 points 1 turn over 1 blocked shot. Says he's been in for about 5 mins so i'm gonna say this was what his performance was for the day, and is it me or is the big 3 looking a bit...non caring the last two games?
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!

I didn't expect Miles to play, so I guess i am gladly surprised he was there... I hope he does well and stays

Gabe looks to have secured his spot in the team, and can we say that O'Bryant is in the doghouse??

By the way (i insist): "where is Sam?" (0 min in preseason)

Perk still hasn't learned to stop putting the ball on the ground before going up with it...

Yeah, I suspect they're still trying to teach POB to play harder or every play--and withholding minutes is really the only thing Doc has.

Perkins seems to be having a good game, but he's always up and down with scoring so it's nothing big.

Celts up by 20 and the Big 3 have barely played...will Doc play the reserves for the rest of the game?

Perk seems to be playing well: 16pts, 6 reb

I just have the box score here, but Perk is filling that up.  I see he's been given 10 ft's, but only has 2 pf's.  Does that mean being the starting center on the championship team has finally earned him some respect from the refs?

Is Doc showing off Pruitt as trade bait or is this a sign that Gabe is the back up point guard?
