New Uni's

Speaking of new uniforms, I was a huge fan of the alternative uniforms we started wearing last year.  You know, the ones that read "Boston" on the front, but not the ones with the black trim, or the saint patty's day uni's.  You know these ones:

 does anyone know why these uniforms are unavailable?  I could barely find a picture of them on the internet let alone a place to buy one.

I started a thread on the subject and got no replies. I saw a Pierce jersey on celtics.com not too long ago, but they are now out of stock.

any other info would be appreciated.

Yea, there are too many changes to uniforms nowadays, but looking at them individually, I don't mind the new ones from these 2 teams.

However the new ones for the t-wolves are plain aweful.

BTW, has anyone seen the Thunder's jerseys? I'm wondering what they are like.

Thunder Jerseys will be displayed 9/29.
I noticed on the press release they stated several times that it would not display the logo.

I wonder if they created these when they still had Yi on the roster to appeal to the fans in China.   Interesting.  The Rockets went from their horrible jerseys to the "old school" red ones they have now right after Yao joined the team.

I hope the new jerseys are sick. But if something isn't broke don't try and fix it. The Celtics still rock the same the same uni's from back in the day pretty much, just with some longer shorts and maybe a little gold lettering from time to time. I like the look of them, to me they just say Boston. And not just on the front. Not to flashy, but not dull either. I'm a little worried what the new uni's are going to look like. You should check out this article tho, this guy thinks Mcgrady, Yao, and Artest are the next big three...haha

Yea i'm all about the new Hornet jersey.  Simple, but does have that Charlotte Hornet feel.  Those uni's made anyone look good

I like them. That red is a little too light to my taste, but they are simple and clean, very old school. The bests of the pack so far.

I'm a bit surprised that they're not readily available.  You tried searching for the whole NBA Hardwood Collectibles? Might have to do a little searching on the internet. There should be an old Boston one there.

I know back during the NBA's 50th Anniversary Season, I was able to score a Hondo old school jersey with the Boston on front.  Back then, you could walk into pretty much any sporting goods store and they had them.

I have indeed searched around quite a bit for these jerseys.  What I have found is exactly what you said, a selection of old school Russell, Cousy, and Hondo Classic jerseys.  They are a little bit different from the newer ones the Celtics started wearing this  past year.  The "Boston" on the new ones in bigger I believe.  As far as I can tell, however, there is no way to find these jerseys even though I think they are the coolest ones they have.  I would love to be able to make cutsom jerseys for these new ones and I'm flabbergasted that they aren't available at all.

I remember that thread, but I never checked back in to see if anyone replied.  I hope they re-stock them.  I'm a very careful jersey shopper, and I would love to add one of these to my collection.

Sorry Sox fans, the Yankees have better uniforms and a better stadium. Too bad the on field product is what actually matters, and the Yankees are trumped in that department.
