So I was watching this video this morning and this just caught me by surprise.  At the 1:45 mark they start sizing Tony Allen up for his championship ring, and Tony gives them his pinky finger to size, are you kidding me?  ??? I just thought it was funny that somebody is actually going to try and sport an NBA championship ring as a pinky ring.  I ain't mad at you though Tony, rock on with yo' bad self.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I loved what Pierce said. "The other fingers are gonna get jealous, that means we gotta get another ring."

Keep that up, Paul.

I like Tony...he's a few fries short of a happy meal, but he's a good kid.  :)

You seen those rings?  One in the nose and you wouldn't be able to breathe!

Not to go too far off-topic, but why do so many think that?  It's just odd to me that a guy who has been arrested on multiple occasions for violent incidents / brawls (both with the Celtics and OSU), and who also had "a little trouble" at his community college, is regarded as a "good kid".

I hope Tony plays well this year, and contributes to the team; when healthy and focused, he can be a game-changer on both ends.  I do not, however, think that he's a very good person.

How often are any of these guys going to wear these rings anyways?  These days, championship rings are enormous, not too mention extremely valuable.

None of these guys are going to be wearing these things out in public.  Willing to bet they'll be sitting in safes somewhere.

Not to put words in anyone's mouth, but the poster might be trying to say, that just b/c Tony is not the brightest bulb in the box, not to judge him. He can still be a fine teammate. Regarding his prior incidents, my hope is that he's matured (nothing has popped up in the past two yrs I believe) and hopefully based on the fact that the C's resigned him, they've seen maturity strides and feel he's made changed. Your obviously entitled to your opinion, that he's not a "very good person," but people do sometimes change, so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. Having lived in Chicago for many yrs and having taught in the inner city, I can say that it is a challenging environment for a young person. Here's hoping Tony continues on a better path.

I don't know, I guess I was a little disappointed, I think I was expecting something a little more like this:

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class
