6'-8" SF anyone?

"Stephane Lasme, who played 16 games with the Heat last season, was waived Tuesday. The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 5.2 points last season."
Palm Beach Post

May be bound for Europe but could be a nice addition to camp in case Miles doesn't cut it.

Lasme played at UMASS and I'm all for taking a shot at local kids, but at this day and age the Celtics are trying to hang banners in the rafters, not take chances on young, inexperieced local kids. The KG trade changed things around here.

Not sure D Miles is the answer either. He got decent production on limited minutes on a losing team. He has more height than Forbes, who they were also looking at, and has decent blocks and steals.

My thought is, if he isn't good enough for the Heat, I'm not sure he'd be a great fit here.  If we pick up anybody else, I would prefer it be a veteran who can help us win games in the short term.  We already have way too many projects.

Miami has a log jam at his position. I think they kept him longer than they had to because of trade contingencies. His outside game is lacking however could help right away as a shot blocker and defensive specialist with good rebounding. More upside than Brandon Wallace;)

I'm not feeling another 6-8 or 6-9 Forward on the bench. Powe and Davis are great they both give you good minutes and hustle. They play differently so unlike most people I say keep them both for now especially. Where does he bring something that these two quickly improving young men do not?

No need for him here in Boston.

However, I do think he has the ability to play in the NBA and would like to see him catch on somewhere.  The kid is a great shot-blocker and could definitely carve a niche for himself as a defensive oriented substitute.
