I'm just more of a fan of gritty hardcore rap like mid-90s (1993-1997).

I'm with ya, Reds. Game and Wayne shouldn't even be on the list.

lil wayne is garbage...
you cant say game is bad after 300 bars, he made mixtape after mixtape and didn't run out of disses to throw at 50.

my list involves more intellectual type rappers...
1.Pharoahe Monch
2. Eminem
3. Game
4. Tupac
5. Biggie
6. Nas
7. Jay Z
8. Kanye
9. Lupe
10. Wu Tang
fort minor, styles of beyond, common, mos def, talib kweli, mobb deep(old)... the list goes on and on, other than that, rap is terrible. it's overplayed beats with hooks that are catchy enough to get people in the clubs to dance to, thats why other than get rich or die tryin' 50 cent isn't good, and lil wayne just isnt good whatsoever.

For quality of lyrics probably Nas.

For quality of sound... I think I'll probably be the only person to say this but Q-Tip.  That's right,  Tribe all the way.

flobots? really?  I think the first album wasn't very good at all.  The second was solid, but nowhere near me saying they can be in a top 10 conversation for best rapper.  Great sound, but the lyrics aren't all that great IMO.

1. Jay-Z
2. NaS
3. BIG
4. Mos Def
5. Outkast
6. Talib
7. Ghostface Killah
8. 2pac
9. Common
10. Lupe

That's not neccesarily my list for most talented rappers.  But that's my list for dudes I listen to the most and whose music I feel the most.  Jay-z and NaS IMO are on another level.
