Was Antoine Walker waived or is he still in Memphis? I wonder after watching his boy Paul win the ship if he wants to come back to Boston

I'm sure he'd love to come back, I believe he attended some of the Finals games in Boston this year.  He was always a great Celtic.

Be careful though, any time someone starts a Toine thread, all the Toine haters tend to dogpile.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
He's not waived yet.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I too like the idea of bringing back #8, but he has yet to be waived or bought out. With that said though, I think he's past his prime to be a starter and/or second option on offense like he was before in Boston, but I think he'd be a great first or second option coming off the bench. He's not the greatest defender, but it seems any that comes to Boston can play team D. I'd love to bring him back to fill the SF mins behind Pierce, but still give mins to Giddens/Bill Walker so they can grow and find out if they are busts or not.

Agreed on the warning. By the time I post this, there should be at least 2 or 3 #8Walker hating posts.
Can't stop, Rondo!

At his age and his declining physical skills....he needs to get in the best shape of his career just to be able to get off the bench for any team.

I hope he does get in best shape.

I hope winning a title with Miami doesn't end his drive to keep playing in the NBA.

  • "This is beautiful. What is that? Velvet?"
I found my #8 jersey in the WAY back of closet yesterday.  It was right behind my Orlando Shaq jersey.  I would love to have him back and pull my jersey out of retirement!
"Coach you were 24 and 58 last year, why the playoff talk?"
"Well we made a couple of key trades . . . and we got The Funk."

Sign him to a minimum contract and have him wash towels.

TP for 'wemadeit17' for posting an Antoine thread and making me laugh for .5 seconds.

I believe somewhere in this house my Dee Brown jersey from 6th grade is packed away somewhere.  Thats always my comeback when people who dont know me have called me a bandwagon fan over the past couple months because I like the Celtics.  It's always a really? Wanna see my Dee Brown Jersey from 6th grade??  Or would you prefer Ron Mercer from 8th? type of response.
