1. Final Fantasy
2. Tecmo Super Bowl
3. Baseball stars
4. Zelda
5. Pirates!

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
Hmm...

1. Zelda
2. Metroid
3. Contra
4. Dragon Warrior
5a. Super Mario Brothers
5b. Megaman

(For those games that are franchises, I'm pretty much considering all of the games in the franchise in its rankings.  For instance, Zelda includes Zelda, Zelda II, etc.)

same roy, and earth, love the paperboy pick.

I was trying to find a way to sneak the little league baseball game on my list, but baseball stars had the super rudimentary franchise mode i loved.

also, anyone remeber baseball wars, where you slaughtered each other as robots? we need mroe next gen games like that IMO, off the cuff sports.

MLB Baseball came in a short 6th. Donny Baseball was the man, even though the Yankees stunk.

5a. Super Mario Brothers

I totally blew it. I forgot about SMB 1,2 & 3. I must've spent literally months of my life playing them.

Speaking of, anybody play Super Mario Galaxy for Wii? My God, what a great game.

I knew there was a game ahead of Excite Bike.

Replace that on my list with Knock out.

I did not get a nintendo until 5-6 years AFTER the Super NIntendo came out, so my list might be stranger but:

1.  Mario 3
2.  Metroid
3.  Final Fantasy
4.  Duck Hunt
5.  Bayou Billy

My brother traded Contra to a friend of his for Bayou Billy about 15 years ago, and I still haven't forgiven him.

Great topic!

1) Tecmo NBA Basketball
2) Bubble Bobble
3) Tecmo Super Bowl
4) Super Mario 3
5) 190 in 1 (Japan game that had 190 games in one cartridge- about half of them were "Game Genie" versions of games and half of the remaining were weird games that I wasn't sure of the point, but the rest were very playable, fun games- this may be like being granted 3 wishes and wishing for 100 more, but it was all on one cartridge, so I think it counts).

6th man is: Anticipation (yeah, I know I'm lame)

As for the Super Mario Galaxy comment, I spent every available minute I had getting each of the 120 stars when it first came out. I never thought there would be a game as good as Super Mario 64, but this one comes darn close...
